The PMDG MD11: First Look

Recommended Posts

Hello guys, don't you think you are overrating this MD-11 a bit?In fact nobody knows how good the product will be until it's released. In my opinion, the screenshot doesn't look bad. Hopefully we'll get somemore soon. Regards

The tail engine looks more like a DC10 than a MD11. You should more pronounce the typical hump on the fore part the MD11 has.___________________________Best RegardsCpt. Bodo M

>Greetings Captains!>>As we launch into summer and folks at home are taking the>covers off their barbeques and making plans for summer>vacations, we just wanted to remind all of you that the work>never stops at PMDG!! Michael and Bill are still locked>away deep inside an underground bunker somewhere in Wyoming,>and are busy coding a remarkable MD11 panel. Meanwhile, the>visuals are well underway, and we wanted to share with all of>you the first peek at PMDG's next heavy: the PMDG MD11.>>http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/for..._First_Look.jpg>>We'll be sharing more with all of you in the coming weeks as>the airplane takes shape. >>Enjoy your summer, captains. You'll need the rest for your>next flight on the MD11! :)>>Best,>>Vin Scimone>PMDG>www.precisionmanuals.com>http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpgI'm sorry to be the first to admit that the paint job isn't comparable with previous models.I think it must be the large letters on the side of the fuselage that really does make this texture very unoriginal and unrealistic. Please take my opinion as constructive advice and not cricism, for what is sure to be a great seller but, the large letters are a definate 'no-no thankyou'.Dave T. .........On the Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/http://www.captainsim.com/user/dl/c130/c130_captain.gifhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg

Nik-In the MD11 package- you will get a passenger and freighter version of the airplane at the same time.Technologicaly the airplanes are nearly identical- so we thought it best to give them both to you in a single plackage!

Peter-None for sale at ILFC. We tried. :-)They only have a few for lease..... But they are charging more than the base product- so we decided not to do that either. And we checked- they all have big letters down the side. :-)(oh my...)

What about wipers? are we getting realistic-looking wiper animations? They have to move ar aboiut 0.78567 m/s to look the way I expect them to. What about wing views? Are we getting those as well? Cause I got to tell you, take you "queen" for example. Hardly worth the money I paid. What's the use of a perfect flight deck if you can;t lok at your wings?hahahaSorry had to it. Looks so fantastic. Congrats guys! Maybe someday we'll see PMDG written down the sides of a 777 and rejoice! Now about your release dates... hehehe :)Best Regards,Victor Limahttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg

>We are planning to release it for both FS9 and FSX but should>anything change that pushes the release date back>significantly, it could end up FSX only... we're not planning>on doing that though!Hi Ryan,Since the MD-11 will be for both FS9 and FSX, will the Boeing 737 and 747-400 that we have now also be for FSX as well? Ken.
