A/P disconnect with top hat!!

Hi there fellow Captains,i have come accross a curious problem today, i have restarted a flight and for some reason whenever i go to the external view and try to look around using the tophat, it disconnects the A/P !next i am heading for the stars at 4000 fpm, most scary, good job its only cargo im flying or there would be a right mess in the cabin!any ideas what may be causing it? i have a registered version of FSUIPC 3.53. anyone else had the same prob?kind regardsbondhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/for...argo_hauler.gifhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg

If you move the joystick, it will disconnect the auto-pilot. It doesn't matter what view you're using. Have you done this in the past? Ken.

If you haven't already done so go to the PMDG menu in FS under General/Options and check to see if under AFDS you have the controls Override boxes checked. You want them unchecked. The other more likely cause is that if you activate trim the AP will disconnect. If your hat switch is also controlling the trim that would be your problem.

ok, i have now got back into the cockpit to try the suggestion...the boxes for AFDS are unchecked and still if i move the joystick it will dissconnect, would i be right in saying this is normal? and do i just have to be careful when moving the top hat for view that i hold the stick steady..would that be a fair assessment?thanks in advanceregardsbondhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/for...argo_hauler.gifhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg
