Auto-landing 747-400

Recommended Posts

I did it! I successfully flew from KIND (Indianapolis International) to KORD (Chicago O'Hare International), and landed with out doing anything! Thanks a lot to everyone who helped me learn how to auto-land. Your information was so valuable. Oh, the plane didn't seem to be slowing down. I had the auto-brakes on max, and I had activated my reverse thrust. I had to use the last taxi way on the runway. I just want to know if this is normal? Thanks again!Joshuah Wetzel

Glad to hear it went well. :-)Of course, you should now practice your manual landings, as they are the most rewarding part of flying the 744!

Once again, thanks, for everybody that helped me get the auto-landing figured out. Landing was not always one of my strongest points. And now, when I am dealing with crosswinds, I do not have to worry about missing the runway! Thanks a bunch!Joshuah Wetzel
