July 16, 200619 yr When you engage the second AP for an autoland and have tuned the Nav 2 radio to the destination ILS as well as Nav 1, is the display on the PFD still supposed to read "Single CH" down to the 1500 AGL confidence self-check, or should it read "Dual CH"?Thanks!Jonathan Sacks Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
July 16, 200619 yr Commercial Member It should remain single until the 2nd autopilot engages, which happens to occur at 1500 feet. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
July 16, 200619 yr Author And then at 1500 AGL when the 2nd AP engages....?It still reads Single CH. Seems there is no way of knowing that DUAL CH is active on the way down other than looking at your nav radios. But perhaps that is normal (?)Jonathan Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
