Hi Recently on reloading a flight, after restarting fs9, the FMC has started to loose the flightplan saved at the time of saving the flight. The error message'' no active flight plan'' appears in the FMC.Due to this vnav and lnav become inactive and until I reactivate the flightplan in the FMC,vnav, and lnav the plane either has gone into a climb or decent. To reset the vnav I have to click on vs and than speed buttons first and than press vnav-this is the only way to activating vnav, why!!Can somebody please suggest why does the flightplan become inactive on saving and exiting the fs 9.And how can I prevent this.Looking forward to your help----please.:D Tass

Tass,Which airplane? If it's the NG, this is the correct behavior because it's an older product and doesn't save the panel state like the 747 does.

Hisorry for not makeing it clear-It's the 747.The flight plane is still in the FMC but inactive-The FMC message says 'no active flight plan'I than click activate and exe. and the magenta line becomes solid on the screen.Than I can activate vnav and lnav as per last message-in that time the plane is either gained or lost height etc.It can also be few degrees off course.Tass
