Denis,You're right, of course.Hey, I'm blind, what do I know. ;-)(I may be blind but a certain airline in the news would rather have me fly for them then a couple other guys I could name from Florida. Better to be blind than blind drunk :-lol)

Try this, the better the hardware folks get the more apt they are to start turning up the AA, If you are running any antialaising try turning it off and see if that is what is causing the "dim" lights as these small alph/textures tend to loose their "opaq" brightness if you will as these textures get sampled and resampled for AA they start to share the transparent part of the texture with the opaq and hense become dimmer and dimmer as you move from AAx2 through Quincunx, AAx4, AAx4s etc.Tis it?

There's a really simply trick that improves the visibility of the blue lights and quite a few other things: when flying at night, just turn up the brightness on your monitor.-JB

Yes. Works for me. When I increase the brightness, the blue lights get brighter faster than the concrete, and they become much more visible. Same with the yellow lines. I can actually see them fairly well. I use about 45% brightness normally, but bump it up to 65% for night flying. Crude but effective. Might not work as well with other monitors, of course. Costs nothing to try.-JB
