Looks worse than infamous Ramstein Airshow disaster. At least 65 dead and scores injured.

I just saw the film clip on Fox News. Both pilots ejected and survived. It landed right in the middle of the spectators.

Lets hope for the pilot's sake that they did the best they could in ditching the plane.

That was a horrible crash. This is exactly why the Blue Angelsand the Thunderbirds wont fly in Atlanta any more. They used to come to the annual air show at Dobbins AFRB each May, but several years ago, there was an A-7 crash at the base that went into an apartment complex because there was no safe place to dump the aircraft in the event of an emergency. They also strictly changed the air show rules in most US locations to make it so that aircraft no longer fly directly over the crowd, only parrallel to the runways and a strictly defined airspace window.Funny how the politics works though. The AF and the USN still send operational unit planes that still fly acrobatics, just none of the"professional show teams" now show up. Guess it would look bad if the Tbirds crashed like this...but an operational F-16 would be less of a big deal?Eric
