Manually Program SID in FMC

Recommended Posts

Guest arindamsen

Hi, How do you program the following SID in the FMC. For example, if the SID says " Climb on heading 235 till 1000, then turn let to heading 170 climbing to 3000". I have seen when you import a SID already in the database it will put a waypoint of this nature (1000) and the associated TRK. How do I manually put this in ? Thanks for your help.arindam sen

I'm not sure you can.. problem is the conditional fix where the left turn depends on rate of climb, winds, etc... It's easy to do in the sidstar file! What's the location?

These are not programmable in the FMC by the pilot - works that way in real life too. They must be created in the SID/STAR text file. Check out the tutorial at www.planepath.com for instructions on how to make them.
