747 altitude callouts on traffic circuits

Recommended Posts

Hello,I have a little question about the altitude callouts... There is nothing wrong with them on normal flights but when doing landing training with touch and go's then the callouts will not be there anymore on the second approach. And that's even if I take a circuit altitude of greater than 2500 AGL. It might be the realistic behaviour of the 747 and that's why I want to get some clarification on it. Actually I saw some A320 training video on YouTube where they didn't have altitude callouts on touch and go either...So, someone please give me some information on this! Thanks!

I also noticed this quirk when practicing touch and go's and read a post on this forum about going above 2500 AGL to get the callouts to work on subsequent circuts, but that doesn't seem to work usually. On one touch and go practice it did work the second time around and I can't figure out what I did to get it to work! I may have been at a higher altitude at some point. Maybe you have to be above 2500AGL for a certain length of time before it will work again. Anybody? Kim
