UPS O/C 747-400F Repaint...

Recommended Posts

Guest Daniel Pimentel

Hey, guys:I'd been toying with the idea for a few weeks, but hadn't gotten around to it... So, here it is; my first completed paint in several months. :-lol My contribution to put the price hike, Euro conversion et al to sleep once and for all. No excuse to not haul some boxen now!Should be up on the library tomorrow morning. The decals on the nose were removed before uploading. I will post here as soon as it is up. :)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/172236.jpgDaniel P.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpgMember of SJU Photography. Nice.. answers the question whether or not to add KSDF to my sidstar collection. However, I've been watching the UPS traffic on flightaware and I thought UPS had only 747-100/200 - really minor point but does anyone want to update me? Meanwhile, I will add KSDF.

Dan:That's correct. However, I've seen the request a couple of times, so I figured I might as well drop it on the -400F. According to the Boeing web site, UPS ordered 8 -400 freighters back in 2005, with first delivery scheduled for next month (June '07). So the livery is right on target. Deliveries continue into 2008. All were order with the General Electric CF6-80C2-B1F engines.Jerry PostKORF

Jerry:Thanks for the information. I'll keep it in mind if I decide to paint the new colors at some point.Daniel P.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpgMember of SJU Photography. SIDSTAR file for the UPS Hub at KSDF Louisville is now available at www.navdata.at and it is good for current and next cycle (0706 coming out soon, dTPP charts are already out).I added NOATC departures to all the departure gates I could find used by the real traffic, to augment the lack of any SIDs except for a vectors-only DP chart. Of course, everthing is there as-published and the text header includes all the details.I found a fix named DOWNS and managed a way to use it in one of the departures. Made my day.

I've had a repaint of the New Colors for quite some time available in the library. If you search for UPS 747-400F or by my name you'll get my textures in both 32 bit and DXT format. Thanks for the old colors, I'd toyed with doing them as well but lost interest!
