A few questions concerning the PMDG 747-400

Recommended Posts

I have looked through the forum archives before posting a new thread, I'm finding it increasingly difficult to create a flight plan/route. Is there any websites which offer 'pre-made' flight plans so I can just key in the airways and waypoints into the FMC. Dilip Solanki

Sure; however, I fly mostly in the US so I am most familiar with flightaware.com, which provides real world flight plans (US domestic and international). Others will probably add their favorite sources.

and the 3rd one.....www.simroutes.comIf I can't find the FP in simroutes I go to flightaware. If I can't find it there (flying overseas-outside US) I go to routefinder....then plug it into simroutes (generate route function)All in that order. :-)

.........and the 4th one and very good too is www.vroute.netBy the way you can key in airways and waypoints via the route page or you can load a limited number of saved plans via the company route method. Go to your PMDG folder called flight plans and you will see a list of all "pre made plans" plans. . My file is located C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9PMDGFLIGHTPLANSI imagine yours would be similar. Type the name of the plan into your FMC where it says company route. A typical rte would be LAX to SFO and it would be put in as company rte LAXSFO001. Once the route is loaded all the airways and waypoints will load. You can save your own routes by pressing the rte copy key and entering a name for your rte. Hope this helps.
