Thrust page settings on the FMC in the pmdg 747

HelloCould someone please tell me what is the best way of setting the thrust page in the pmdg 747 FMC.At the moment I use about 15 degrees above outside.Also can you tell me do I need to do anything else once I have decided the temperature setting.Qas
