FMC on 8" Touchscreen Monitor

Rotate the FMC...This question really applies to ANY FMC in FS9. I would like to display my FMCs in potrait mode so as to have the FMC fill the entire touchscreen display. I have mounted the monitor in portait fashion (on its side) and tried rotating the display 90 degrees in the Nvidia toolbox. It tells me that it can't be done in any resolution that I select. With that in mind, my next idea is to actually rotate the FMC. You can resize the FMC when undocked, but I can't seem to find a way to rotate it. Anybody know how to do this? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!Regards,Terry

Terry,The way to proceed is not by rotating the FMC but to ratate the 'desktop'.If you are using Nvidiacards, in the properties screen, there is an option by which you can rotate the entire desktop by steps of 90 degrees.I have an old 15inch flatscreen and I mounted this on its side. By rotating the desktop in the drivers, you can reposition the desktop of your so that your FMC is positioned in the direction of the screen.Works like a charm a,d I am seriously thinking of buying a touchscreen myself. Luc,LG have one 15" monitor with touch screen functionality. Search for L1510SF at http://be.lge.com/ne/index.do and you will find it. Cost some 348 euro here in Finland.

Thanks Luc,I have actually already tried that and the message I am getting is that it can't be done at the monitor's selected resolution. I have tried changing the resolution but that hasn't worked. I am wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that this touchscreen is an "extension" of my main monitor's desktop. Any ideas?Thanks for your help!Terry

How will you stop FS9 minimizing when clicking on the touchscreen. As far as I know the game will minimize if it's window looses focus which it would if you click on the touchscreen. Must go try it tonight and see if it works.

I bought a lilliput touchscreen and it works great, if yuor like to fly the big ones its a must.I have an nvidia card and did the same by rotating the desktop. Very easy, I didn't need pivot pro.Bye and happy flying to you!David DD

It has to be in window mode not full screen. If you do this it will not minimize.David DD

Mine works in dualview(indipendant) and not as an extension of the main screen.David DD
