You have made my day.. I was really down when you announced that the MD-11 was going to be for FSX only.. I own that "HOG" and have removed it from my fairly high end machine as it is the worst resource hog I have ever had the displeasure of wasting money on. Anyway. Enough on that. Thank you for the news that the MD will now be for FS9 as well as FSX.------------------------------------------------------------------Joe"It's not the fall that kills ya. Can anyone from the team comment (yet) on what performance they're getting with the 747-400X and their machine specs? T'was announced we should expect performance details a few weeks ago. Appologies if an answer has previously been given (would be grateful for a link in that case).

While I am happy to see PMDG support FS9, I am also irritated as well. I have been an owner of Flight Simulator since FS // hit my Apple //+ in the early 80s. There have been good versions (FS98, FS2002/4) and bad ones (FS 2000). But while I feel there are people out there having problems with FS X, it is not as bad as FS2000 and what a lot of people in news groups say. It requires a bit of tuning, oh and don't forget SP1 for it or you will have crappy framerates. I have both FS9 and FSX installed, actually I have all from MS FS3 installed. Until I got my nVidia 8600 GTS installed I was using FS9 about 80% to 20% FSX. Since the upgrade, its about 95% FSX and about 150+ hours using it. So while PMDG is doing combined effort realize the product cycle is going to lengthen. Which means instead of getting 737 NGX or V2 this year its not going to hit until much later. I won't be purchasing the FS9 versions of MD-11, or 737 v2. But I will try to be as first in line for 747X, MD-11X, and 737 NGX and hoping A320 makes it for FSX. As a FSX owner I have quite happy with it and recommend that you don't just read news groups and base your opinions on what someone else is ranting about. Try it! I will admit before I get major flamed is that FSX does require some tweaks and newsgroups are a great place to find them.

I hear you. Some of the FSX problems could be related to people running it without tuning and on relative old PCs too combined with old graphics. remember that FSX uses high quality textures. On the 747 737 and MD-11, the upcoming releases might well be multiplatform, meaning that a single Installation file will have both versions of the plane being installed. I seen that with CLS latest products, so I don't see why PMDG will not be like that.

Liam,We're still in the middle of testing so I can't really say anything definitive - performance is obviously a concern and we're doing what we can to squeeze what we can out of it. FSX SP2 will likely give us another boost.

HiI hope it will change to the native navdate, which isa big target of Richard (navdata). To get all developersin the same boat and use the same format would be useful for all of us.

Cheers

I am new to FS9, and was planning to buy the PMDG 737-600/-700 and -800/-900 packages. I now see that there will most likely be a 737 NG2.0 for FS9 next year.If I buy the current FS9 737NG, will I receive a discount on the FS9 737NG 2.0 when it comes out? I would like to know before I spend the big bucks on the current FS9 737NG.

The original NG is so old, the decision was made that even users from the first release would still have to pay full price. As far as I know, there was no change to this decision.Ryan GamurotLucky to live Hawai'ihttp://www.virtualpilots.org/signatures/vpa296.png

No plans for that, correct. The NG2.0 is a totally new from the ground up aircraft, not a patch or add-on to the old one.
