Depends on videocard and monitor. Go as high as you can. I am at 1600x1200x16 which is as high as I can go. I prefer it over the lower resolutions at x32. I don't take a performance hit either and I am using an old GeForce256DDR 32Mb with a generic monitor which is capable of 1600x1200 at 85Hz.

Robbie is that the setting you use in FS2002 or the setting in Windows itself?I should have made it clear that I'm referring to the Windows setting. Or has that nothing to do with it?And thanks for replying so promptly.

The desktop resolution won't affect FS2002. Set it so that everything is a good size. At higher resolutions, everything gets smaller, lower res=bigger. In WindowsXP, in order to use 1600x1200 in FS2002, I think you need to set your desktop to 1600x1200.

I prefer 1880 x 1440 x 32, which my P3 1GHz and 2y/o Radeon 64 VIVO actually do fairly well. Gets a bit choppy though around terminals, so i go between 1600 x 1200 x 32 up to 1792x.Noel

If you fly let's say 1600x1200, set your desktop to that too, and fly in Windowed mode, you'll get higher FPS. At least that's what works for me.
