PMDG 737 Problem with Radar Altitude

Recommended Posts

Hi! I have some problem with the radar altitude that shows of the bottom of the PFD. I understand that it show "-4" when on the ground (that is the gear suspension right?) but if you look closely at my two screens beneath you can see that it shows -4 (0) at 131.7 ft but at 132.1 it shows 11. What is up with that?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/182552.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/182553.jpgCheersJohan "Whats VNAV?!?!" Adolfsson

No, I used SLEW to get just above the ground. CheersJohan "Whats VNAV?!?!" Adolfsson

I think you're messing with the laws of physics using SLEW. Your Standby Baro Altimeter has shifted by 500 feet(?).It's impossible to say what's going on here. You're moving the aircraft in an unnatural manner. The Rad Alt readout is dependent on aircraft body angle, gear strut compression and gear bogey tilt.... at least in the real worldCheers.Q> イアン
