Shutting down the engines of 747

Recommended Posts

In PMDG747 "Normal Procedures": APU ON, WNEN AVAIL, APU GEN CTRL SWITCHES 1 AND 2 ON, FUEL CONTROL SWEICHES 1,2,3,4 CUTOFF.If I do these just after I start the FS004 and load the PMDG747 model. It looks and sounds OK.But if I do these after landing, I got horn when I cutoff the fuel of engin 2. And still before that everything looks normal in EICAS.Thanks.

The Horn is normal on the real aircraft. Also only connect APU1 or EXT1 if flying the freighter and loading cargo.Correction I have heard this on the real aircraft but the A/T may have still been connected when the fuel cut off was selected.Rob

Rob is exactly correct, the A/T warning when cutting off the #3/#2 engine is what you hear.Cancel the horn when it sounds after a/t disconnect by pushing the master warning on the glareshield, and the a/t will remain off. That way you are not re-arming with the second push of the a/t mapped button- a shortcoming within FS.Best-Carl F. Avari-Cooper BAW0225http://online.vatsimindicators.net/980091/523.png
