BOEING- Officially Licensed Product

Recommended Posts

Awesome- what a great honor for Boeing to have given PMDG this designation! And, how fortunate are we, to have the ability to fly something so recognized! No doubt, Alteon will soon be using this product as preparation for the fixed based sim- in concert with Microsoft's ESP- and then hold on to your hats captain's- full FMC fidelity and systems upgrades cannot but be on the horizon!I am a happy man Ryan!Best-Carl F. May I take the absolute silence from PMDG as a (we cannot confirm or deny the possibility) tacit agreement? ;)Best-Carl F. Dan:They are displaying the "Boeing- Officially Licensed Product" logo on the update installers- I am hoping that this relationship will only enhance their already firmly entwined existance- and PMDG will work even harder towards FULL fidelity with the aeroplane simulation.Boeing is correctly choosy in their licensing requirements, and while PMDG is albeit already the platform replication leader- it is my hope that this relationship will fan PMDG's fervor for faithfulness. Robert's recent type rating was the first gleam of hope. This is the second. Once PMDG releases their ESP product- THOSE customers will clamor for further fidelity- and THEIR pockets are deep enough to demand attention. It is my hope that once this occurs, PMDG will be charitable enough to port the changes to their "entertainment" product as well. If this release is any indicator- they will! BTW- please don't misconstrue this to mean I am hoping for another free update- rather, I (and others) would gladly pay for whatever they would port from that ESP release into the "entertainment" version.I am firmly committed to the 747 platform- currently with FS9, perhaps soon with FSX (waiting on those MCP drivers Lefteris) and it is my hope that there will be a 747-8 update in the future!Best-Carl F. I'll let Robert fill you guys in on the actual details of this when he gets a chance, but yes we've been given Boeing's official seal of approval on the NG, 744 and MD-11 product lines and anything else we may do in the future.Btw, knowing that other company's history and reputation, I wouldn't assume the endorsement they display is legitimate btw...
