Is this for the MD-11 FSX as I see beacon lights from the B747 ?[LIGHTS]light.0 = 3, -225.90, 0.30, 4.72, fx_navwhih, //Position Aftlight.1 = 3, -225.90, -0.30, 4.72, fx_navwhih, //Position Aft// light.2 = 2, -225.52, 0.00, 3.94, fx_strobeh, //Strobe Aft// light.3 = 1, -33.596, 0.00, 14.868, fx_pmdg744_beacon, //Beacon Top// light.4 = 1, -86.149, 0.00, -11.735, fx_pmdg744_beacon, //Beacon Bottom// light.5 = 8, -77.000, 26.00, -4.000, fx_pmdgwinglight, //Wing Right// light.6 = 8, -77.000, -26.00, -4.000, fx_pmdgwinglight, //Wing Leftlight.2 = 3, -225.52, 0.00, 3.94, fx_shockwave_strobe_l light.3 = 1, -33.596, 0.00, 14.868, fx_shockwave_beaconh light.4 = 1, -86.149, 0.00, -11.735, fx_shockwave_beaconb // light.3 = 3, -145.850, 97.80, 3.000, fx_shockwave_navgre // light.4 = 3, -145.850, -97.80, 3.000, fx_shockwave_navred light.5 = 5, -76.800, 20.40, -3.700, fx_Shockwave_Landing_light // ShockWave light light.6 = 5, -76.800, -20.40, -3.700, fx_Shockwave_Landing_light // ShockWave light light.7 = 5, -75.500, 18.30, -3.700, fx_Shockwave_Landing_light // ShockWave light light.8 = 5, -75.500, -18.30, -3.700, fx_Shockwave_Landing_light // ShockWave lightAs far as I understand it I need to replace some md-11 fx files with renamed Shockwave files.Can one of you post the correct steps and appropiate config ?Thanks !

The above is all for the 747.I gave it a shot for the MD11 - my first shockwave modification ever, but I just like the blinky blinky stuff, so I could not resist.Landing lights are controlled via the "Wing & Runway turn-off" switchesI did not manage yet to assign the landing lights to the corresponding switches in the overhead, therefore the workaroundIf your nickname is "Captain Ultrarealism" and you don't like the artificial navlight & strobe at the tail, just remove the last 2 lines.It's not perfect yet and I will continue to tweak but now it's time for some flying.Add this to the aircraft.cfg of the FS9 bird, no modifications made, just shockwave lights added on top of the default ones.[LIGHTS]//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobes, 3=Navigation, 4=Cockpit, 5=landing, 6=taxi, 7=recognition, 8=wing, 9=Logolight.0 = 8, -85.231, 23.611, -1.000, fx_PMDG_MD11_winglight,light.1 = 7, -85.231, -23.611, -1.000, fx_PMDG_MD11_winglight,light.2 = 2, -14.500, 0.00, -10.750, fx_PMDG_MD11_LL_Light,light.3 = 9, -7.025, 0.00, 4.263, fx_PMDG_MD11_emerlights,light.4 = 1, -84.420, 0.00, 11.200, fx_shockwave_beaconh light.5 = 1, -138.850, 0.00, -8.900, fx_shockwave_beaconb light.6 = 5, -28.500, 0.00, -9.750, fx_shockwave_landing_light_double // ShockWave light light.7 = 8, -20.100, 8.10, -3.300, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down // ShockWave light light.8 = 8, -20.100, -8.10, -3.300, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down // ShockWave lightlight.9 = 3, -194.10, 0.00, 4.72, fx_shockwave_navwhi_l_old, //Position Aftlight.10 = 1, -194.20, 0.00, 3.94, fx_shockwave_strobe_l so that's the first "pimp my MD11" modification, I'm now working on a chrome yoke, a 5000W subwoofer for the cargo bay and lowering the suspension :( Thanks

TSE,Yup, those settings work for me. Moved the gear lights a little,light.6 = 5, -28.800, 0.00, -9.750, fx_shockwave_landing_light_doubleNow the gear light goes on/off with the gear down/up with the addition of the gaugeXX line in the panel.cfg.Thanks for the effort,Pat

Thanks PatYes I noticed during take-off of my current flight that the taxi lights are still on upon gear retraction - funny thing is that in the test flight I have saved to align the lights they did go off upon "gear up" with my initial parameters.I had also tried to do something for the wing navlights and the strobes but with no luck - it seems that those are hardcoded into the model, removing all PMDG MD 11 fx files referencing to lights from the FS9 effects folder showed no impactwhatsoever.ThanksJoerg

Hi Joreg,Sorry to confuse you, no, the gear light doesn't blink on/off for me. I have a gauge file that turns off the light when gear is retracted, turns the light back on when the gear is extended.I recall editing a .xml a while back to make it work. In the panel.cfg, a line was added:gauge07=shockwave_lights!SW lights_gear_taxi, 1, 1, 1, 1and in FS\Gauges\Shockwave_Lights.cab I added a file called SW Lights_gear_taxi.xml And yes, the wing lights are coded into the model so .fx decorations can't move with the wing flex...Thanks,Pat

Understood, but the xml fix did not work for me this afternoon.I now assigned the landing lights as strobes and it works nicely.light.6 = 2, -28.500, 0.00, -9.750, fx_shockwave_landing_light_double // ShockWave light ThanksJoerg

Ok... I JUST got the MD-11 for FSX... can't wait to try it out!!! But is there a consensus of what the proper and good setup is for the Shockwave lights for the MD-11 FSX???I am not exactly program literate!! :(

has someone got the co-ordinates and a means of sorting out my wing scan lights? i seem to get a second set of nav lights, just outboard of the outboard landing lights with the shockwave addon. i would like to get the runway turn-off lights to work too. finally (lol) for the nav and strobe lights to return to the pmdg ones so they retain wingflex, do i just remove the strobe and nav entries?
