Hi GuysCan i seek some advice please. Many of my flights with the PMDG B747-4 Using my flight plans generated from the FMC Dep/Arr page and using routefinder asa.linkalways seem to bisect across the runway not lining up for final approach, i am at the required approach level and flaps speed andMLWT also the Loc will capture but for whatever reason my aircraft bisects the runway can you help me please.an example flight - EGLL to EKCH route BPK, CLN, Tulip, Bedum, Juist, Lugas thereafter Kos to (Kastrup EKCH) (a Lugas 3B Arrival Rwy ILS04R)Departure (Brookmans Park 6F from Rwy 09R) Many Thanks !!

I'm really not sure what you mean, bisect the runway halfway? It divides it in two equal parts half way!? I'm a bit lost here..I'm assuming you mean that on approach the aircraft is flying at an angle to the runway bearing, and subsequently when you pass over the runway you cross it in the centre i.e. ILS 04R with a 10,000ft long runway you approach at say 050 degrees and end up passing over the runway at the midway point (5,000ft)?Perhaps you could show us a screenshot of what you mean so we can have a look at what's going on.CheersCraig

I would echo Carig's request. As a BAV pilot I fly the Brookmans Park departure several times a week- without issue. Are you updating your NAVData frequently (preferably every 28 days)?http://www.navdata.at/Get Steve "Dinger" Bell's SIDSTARS for EGLL and ALL airports utilized by BA 746s, fantastic-http://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/downloads...808_DATASET.zipFly the heck out of the Brookman's Park- one of my favorite departures in the whole world!BTW- if you fly to the US at all- MAKE SURE you get Dan Down's SID/STARS for the US- just search his name and sort by DATE for the latest AIRAC Cycle procedures- superb-http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=122710I'm thinking that any "alignment" problem has to do with your NavData set- let us know how you get along!Best-Carl F. Thank You Very much one and all for such great support.I tend to agree i haven't touched the NAVDATA since purchase a year ago.I would like to ask concerning the NAVDATA is this data to be uploaded into my FMC ? or merely downloaded and manually inputed?if so could you tell me how to upload new Navdata, i'm sorry to beso dense. The alignment problem often sees the aircraft passing diagonally over the runway and appears a co-ordinate problem as the aircraftmakes to to the airport, so hopefully if i can learn the procedure to update all data required i would be most grateful.Thank you once again for taking the time out to help me, I think my ICAO available to me in my FMC also need updating, I live in Nagoya, Japan and cannot access Chubu International Airport, I have so much to learn. Thank You Once More Everyone !

This seems to be correct. Looking at publicly published charts for EKCH http://www.slv.dk/Dokumenter/dscgi/ds.py/View/Collection-344Chart "25 EKCH STAR 04 L/R" From LUGAS 2A KOR 253 to KOR 034 "for radar vectoring to final approach" - In other words, ATC will tell you how to get to finals. If they forget, then turn right towards the KAS VOR. Using the chart "32 EKCH ILS 04R" (on the same web page) you to overfly the runway at KAS and head R203 for 17NM before turning right unto the 039 radial to intercept the ILS glideslope. You might want to have a look at the chart "26 EKCH STAR 04L (P-RNAV)" for a more interesting approach.
