F/O barometer always 29.92 on PFD

Hi,I have the 747X on Win XP SP3. The First Officer's PFD always displays the barometer reading as 29.92, no matter what the Captain's (and ATC's) reading is. "B" does not change the F/O display. Starting cold and dark, from a saved flight, or many other variations does not "fix" this. It's moderately annoying because the altitude is always wrong on the F/O side. Has anyone else seen this? PMDG ops and this forum did not turn up anything useful. I don't load or save panel states as I haven't figured out what they are for (yet).Thanks in advance,dan davison

The "B" keyboard command does only affect the PIC altimeter, and I'm not aware of a keyboard command available in MSFS. Since I always fly from the left seat it's never been a problem.

Why don't you just adjust the knob when you are on the F/O side to read whatever baro it is at the time?Jeff P.

To my knowledge there are three seperate Baro's on the 744. The captains, the Reserve, and the First Officers. The "B" command only changes the Captains Baro, you'll have to change the other 2 manually.

Skullxbones & THBatsomething,Thanks for the heads-up. I did not know the "B" affected only one barometer. WRT the knob twiddling, I have very low vision and most of the knobs and especially the writing on them are invisible to me, even magnified. A couple more eye operations to go, then some visual system physical therapy, and my vision should be normal by the end of the year. Youre welcome... If you fly from the left seat you don't need the other 2 Baros. I use them as back up. Just use the default "B" command and youll be fine.

Hi Kevin,I have to have the F/O PFD "popped out" and enlarged on a second monitor to have a chance of seeing the details on the PFD at all. That's why I needed to know how to change the barometer on the F/O side. So, although I sit on the left side, the instruments I can see are on the right side. Best wishes,dan davison
