FSX Performance On New Machine

Hello everyone I have a few questions and complaintsI just upgraded to a new PC, now I have my FSX running on this one however I would like to know how much ram should be used to run itHeres what I got:ECS NFORCE4M-A, Socket AM2, AMD Athlon 64 2.7GHz, 1GB RAM,ATI X1300 256MB PCIE, CD-ROM Drive, DVD-ROM Drive, 160GB IDE Hard Drive.OK what i have is pretty low to. I have left to add another 3GB of RAM, Blue-ray player, Audio Card, I am only set up for 35 FPM in FSX I have just minimual airport trucks no AI planes or anything else, Aircraft settings are set to max scenery is set to max weather is set to medium aand graphics with the framrate is set to high.After time it will slow a bit but I am not unimpressed nor impressed with it. with what I have comparied to what i did have it runs better.So how much ram should be used I believe 1GB is recomended so what is realy needed. I have no desire to get any traffic it would be nice to see it but I never used it in FS9 and realy dont like it very much.Capt. Another gig of ram would help (assuming you have a 32-bit operating system) and help towards 'memory leak' problems, but to be honest it is processing speed that is the only thing that will give you a further boost in FSX if you plan to run it with everything on full. 35 fps isn't too bad. You could try to turn the water effects down a bit if you want to increase your performance more, as they are quite CPU intensive. I found this to be a big help when flying the 747-400x. I tend to have different graphics 'profiles' saved for different arcraft, as some are more cpu intensive than others. You can tweak eack one individually for the desired performance.

Thanks I keep every bit of that in mind however I do have one more question how do make FSX stop asking me to allow gauges and software in it to run I would not add it if i did not wanna run it. I also plan to add 3 more GBs or RAM just to do it. My board can Support up to 32 GB so i realy could go as far as i possible.ThanksCapt. Just FYI: Your board may support that much RAM, but 32-bit Windows does not... in fact, the most 32-bit Windows will recognize is about 3GB (give or take, depends on the motherboard).- Bill

Yeah but using 64bit XP would not give me a plus on each and every program or addon some cant run in 64 mode although the installer for my motherboard drives where not able run auto when i first installed window xp 64 I was still able to do them manualy but I could not get everything i had owned already to go up there so i went back to XP 32just to keep it safe .ThanksCapt.
