747-400X Autopilot Trim

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've just bought the 747-400X addon for Flight Sim X and I am having problems. Whenever I engage the autopilot in VNAV, the aircraft overshoots the target altitude in the MCP window. After looking at the flight control position in the status page of the EICAS, the elvators are deflected in the down position, indicating that the aircraft is not in trim whenever the autopilot is engaged. I have checked the weight and balance and reloaded the aircraft via the load manager and loaded different fuel loads with no effect. I have reinstalled the addon as well with no effect. I don't think it is a CG problem as the aircraft seems to fly normally whenever I fly and trim the aircraft manually.I have flown the aircraft on FS9 for many moons now and have had no problems. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Gary

When are you engaging VNAV and what is the MCP ALT setting? Even at pattern altitude, she should be able to level off at target. Therefore, a little more info would help spot the problem. Maybe a screen shot or two would help too.
