RR-and PW-powered B744

Recommended Posts

Guest Jake Lee

Good day all. I have a question about the B744 instead of the MD-11. ;) I see in the manuals that the mathematical models are based on the GE version engine. Does this mean the PW and RR engines are ONLY for looks -- the GE mathematics are used for power, fuel burn, etc..? Thanks for the help!- Jake

Jake,The 400F addon for FS9 added engine instrumentation and performance models for the PW and RR engines. (and the 400X for FSX has them as well) The original 400 passenger version does not have them.

I very much have been wanting to fly with Cathay Cargo or Singapore Cargo but didn't want to do so if the GE mathematics were used. But since the -400F has the performance models, PW here I come! Thanks.- Jake
