A couple of MD 11 questions

Recommended Posts

Guest callum112233

First question. When I change my settings in the performance tuner, I press ok to confirm my settings but they don't actually take effect, when I return to the performance tuner the settings are still default. Anyone know why?Second issue. When I am in the 2D cockpit the autopilot flickers. I am using vista 32 and FSX acceleration. Thanks Callum Green

For number one... if you are using Vista then assign administrator rights to the PMDG folder (and subfolders).

The flickering isn't constant it just happens every now and again. It's not the whole panel that flickers it's just the FCP.

My guess is this has something to do with video configuration. Just last night I was playing with different ways to control AA, filtering, vertical retrace wait, etc., application controlled or not. I've got a new box and video card and the pavements stripes were dissappearing, which I fixed with some tinkering. The FCP flickers you are reporting were not discussed as a problem during testing as far as I know (there was lots of nit picking, so I assume it's not a problem in general, but specific to your setup). A known problem is that the ATI4870 introduces a slanting discontinuity on some of the gauges. The jury is out on how this is going to be resolved I think.
