Not too sure if i understand your point there Eric ???PMDG = Aircraft Add OnsFTX; REX; FEX; UTX = Environmental Add OnsWhy would they need to get together? If anything, they already are together, on my machine at least...ASX; UTX Europe, USA, Canada; FEX and FS Genesis.... My machine handles all that quite well, although after todays JFK/LHR run, a well known heathrow add on is certainly proving to be a little too extreme, for anything but a super computer. Why exactly can Fly Tampa make an ENTIRE CITY for FSX that has little to no impact on frames, while other dev's seemingly cant do a single airport that doesnt require a 90Gig CPU? Seemingly, it is possible! ;)CheersPaul

>Not too sure if i understand your point there Eric ???Actually i do think i understand: since all the "brands" cited by the original poster have a top-quality reputation, the speculation goes to the eventual quality of a product made in conjunction by all the firms.Especially, i shall add, i wonder what would it be of a flight simulator main engine developed by PMDG.I think not only MSFS would cease to exist, but Xplane too: there would be no need. But don't loose your mind on such things, one of the "tricks" by which PMDG is able to maintain and often elevate its standars, is that it is focused on a "limited" product.Achieving such a high level of accuracy on a relatively small portion of the total, is relatively easy.Providing a totally general base of the same quality would be really... undescribable :DI just can't begin to imagine. All the precision and detail of commercial level platforms, together with the ease, modularity, openess of the "game" level flight simulators...It could probably be the DEFINITIVE product for years and years...Quite like the PS1 until the B400X or even better.

Hi Claudio:I see what he means now. Imagine that, a sim better than 'the' sim (to a lot of people at least), would certainly be a seller!Having said that, think of the time it would take to implement lol. 4 Years + for an aircraft. A complete sim would take decades ;)CheersPaul

Just imagine a flight simulator made by PMDG and the other experts.I think PMDG is eager to grow, that's only healty and normal. Can making aircraft year after year after year be enough for them? I hope not. Ofcourse this is pure fantasy, but the reason i got this idea is because i can imagine them doing it and doing it extremely well.

We'd love to make our own sim - anyone want to fund us tens of millions of dollars to lure graphics programmers from the first-person-shooter industry to do it? :D ;)
