Recommended Posts

Hey Gang!Miyazaki's new Narita airport is very awesome. We now need an AFCAD file for it since the planes are all over the place. What a beautiful job he did.My 2 cents!Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

AFCAD is very easy to use, give it a try and you will see what I mean. :)

I agree we need someone to do an AFCAD file for this airport!! I have made many gates at the Default Airports with AFCAD and was very easy!! So I tried to do this new Nartia Airport, but have a wierd problem now!?? I deleted all the default taxi-way's and spent a whole day tracing all the new taxi-way's with FS2002 running and the Lock Feature in AFCAD!So once i got all the new taxi-ways lined up and connected perfectly and renamed them to the correct taxi name's, Then I close FS2002 save the chages to the Airport in AFCAD! Then I start up FS2002 to let it rebulid the scenery files, then when i open up the Narita AFCAD file after FS2002 is finished all my taxi-lines have dissapeared! I did this twice and all that shows up after are all the new NODES i made, but no taxi-lines linking the nodes like i did!!! Amn a whole days work down the drain!!!!!!! What am i doing wrong?? As this only is happening all of a sudden with this new Airport!?? So i gave up unless i am doing a wrong procedure in AFCAD??? So anyone please make an AFCAD file for this airport because i gave up after those two lost day's!! ok MIKE-:)

Hi!What you did wrong is that you need to create at least ONE gate/parking section. jd

What? Really? iAll i had to do was make a couple gates connect to the Taxi-way's I made?? Aghhhhhhh, I want to try again but I'm afraid if i do it again after all those HRS of work and it won't work again!!?? But if all i gotta do is connect some gates and then it will work?? Do you know this for a fact? Also do i gotta make gates in just one area of the airport or where all the new Taxi-ways go to? Thank's for your help, MIKE.

Well I broke down and tried this AFCAD for this scenery! And putting gates to the new taxi-wy's I mde worked!!! Thanks dude!! Now when i look at it in AFCAD everything i did is there now! Now i just gotta test it out with AI traffic and see if everything works good?! I don't know if the taxi-names are correct or if I missed any taxi-way's, as there are a lot at this Airport!! But I made it for Ai traffic and when we land there we can use the taxi-way's with sharpd turns! OK well I'll test it out tomorrow! Gotta sleep my eyes all buss up looking at all those taxi-way's in this scenery! But it looks great and should look even better with Traffic!! MIKE-:)

I've just gotten the Scenery for Naha- It's nice to get access to a good scenery for Okinawa finally. Having had an Uncle there for the past few years at Kadena, I'll use this scenery.Tim

Wow. This is one of those hidden FS sites with great scenery that none of us knew about. I wonder how many sites like this are out there that we don't know about? I sure would love to find a good Kimpo, Seoul, South Korea airport somewhere.

The narita.bgl has the same size and date as the one bundled with the scenery. I think its a duplicate, but as I don't speak Japanese, can't say for certain.
