Recommended Posts

Hi folksJust a short note about my FPS tests over the last weekend using Vista64, FSX and the famous PMDG MD-11 :-jumpyI've found two major items that increased my frame rate dramatically:1. Remove of multiple DISPLAY entries in FSX.cfg2. Auto-hide of Windows task bar in combination with FSX Window ModeNow I'm getting 30-40 FPS with MD-11 2d panel at VHHX and mostly more than 80 FPS in mid air :-jumpyBrunoLSZHCPU Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16 GHz, Memory 8 GB DDR2 800, GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB, Matrox TripleHead2go, 1st display 3840x1024 (3x1280x1024), 2nd display 1280x1024, Vista 64, ASX

With my E8500 cpu and 8800GTX and V64 system, when I run full screen, I get better frames than windowed. Is this true of your similar setup as well?RhettFS box: E8500 (@ 3.80 ghz), AC Freezer 7 Pro, ASUS P5E3 Premium, BFG 8800GTX 756 (nVidia 169 WHQL), 4gb DDR3 1600 Patriot Cas7 7-7-7-20 (2T), PC Power 750, WD 150gb 10000rpm Raptor, Seagate 500gb, Silverstone TJ09 case, Vista Ultimate 64ASX Client: AMD 3700+ (@ 2.6 ghz), 7800GT
