Lost my joystick mojo...(please help!)

Recommended Posts

After months of work, I finally tried to hook up my new throttle quadrant (an actual Baron quadrant reincarnated to a virtual life with a bunch of slide potentiometers, etc). Well, I booted up FS2K2 and assigned the left and right throttles to it just to test it. It saw them fine but FSUIPC didn't and the throttles remained stuck at half throttle. Nothing seemed to make a difference. I finally went back to my old throttles (a Suncomm throttle plugged into a gameport/USB converter) and now that doesn't work! In the old days it was simply a matter of changing the IDs of the joysticks but these are all USB now and the ID tab doesn't even exist. What am I missing (besides a whole bunch of simming :()??? Thanks!David

Hi David,Interesting problem ...:-)First of all, download and read my "common errors" bit in file RCBcs-10.zip from the avsim library. To be more explicite:1. How are the throttles connected ? Gameport or via USB convertor ?2. With FS2K2 not running, Go to WIndows Controller menu. Do the new throttles works OK there ? (and well calibrated) ?if 2. is yes, check if your new axis are assigned in the FS2K2 Menu-COntrols-Assignment section. If all this doesn't help, Email me: (for address: see zip file)- Exact controller configuration you have (joystick/yoke/pedals ?)- Assigned id's in WIndows- Your FS2002.cfg file.Rob
