A couple of MD11 questions...?

Can somone tell me where in the operating manual it explains the functin of that funny bar infront of the throttles. I've pressed it and it seems to give automatic MCT? Anything more to it?Also, does anyone know if it's possible to display the PFD in window mode (pressing the "w" key on the keyboard). I find that landing is much easier in this view due to the aircraft's high nose up attitude. But for some reason when I press Shift+7 the PFD only flickers? Thanks in advance,Martin Neep

That bar is the overboost stop. When the throttles are at full and 30 lbs of pressure is exerted upon them it will push past the overboost stop, red lining the engines to provide maximum available thrust.I also believe that triggering overboost will cause the FADEC modes to switch to ALTN.Sam

Martin, It seems this paragraph is missing from the ENGINES sections of the system operating manual:Forward travel of the throttles is limited by an overboost stop. This stop has a detent that allows continued forward movement of the throttles when they are pushed with a strong force. This extra forward travel causes the following:
