Flight plan request, EGLL to KLAX

Recommended Posts

>just a question before the planned route does it show fixes airways >etc then you can select by hand the route....just a question...Your question unfortunately is in an area of which I can't reveal details just yet. Its a feature that is unique enough (well I think so anyway) for competitive reasons I need to keep it under wraps until the program is closer to release.I think it will be Beta sometime in June, so towards the end of the month I will be able to reveal more details and answer more questions (but don't hold me to any of that !!).Hope you understand.Regards.Ernie.

Search AVSIm for Mark McGrath's EGLL-KLAX (AAL178 I think)- it's a plan for the PIC with lots of ETOPS stuff for the PIC FMC...very cool!Rob.

Phil,The route you posted above,, I understand most of what is on that routing format and centainly enough to grab off the route but can you porvide a link to a "tutorial" or an "aid" for understanding all of it? It would be interesting to not only know what is on there but why and how it is used. Thanks in advance,

Taking a stab at this..........> FLT PLAN: EGLL/KLAX MACH:M80 A/C: B763 Not much to explain - the plan has been calculated for M.80 in a B763.> ETD: 02/22.00ZEstimated departure time - The Second fo the month at 2200Z. They use this for all of the enroute calculations. The next section is for the fuel, time, and weight. This particular plan appears to be metric.> FUEL TIME CORR TOGWT LDGWT AVG W/C> DEST KLAX 058025 10.47 ------ 185519 127857 M010For the destination (KLAX) you need 58025 kg if fuel - that should be enough fuel for 10 hours 47 minutes - the next two number I think are Takeoff and Landing Gross Weight.> RESV 003286 00.45 ------Another 3286 kg for reserves (45 minutes worth).> ALTN 001589 00.20 ------ ALTN KONT DIST 0068 W/C P001Ontario (KONT) is the filed alternate - you need another 1589kg of fuel (20 mins worth) and it is 68nm from the filed destination (KLAX).> HOLD 002159 00.30 ------Another 2159kg (30 mins) for holding time.> REQD 065059 12.22 ------ BOW 091000 PAYLOAD 029823Now you get a subtotal from the above - 65059kg of fuel (12 hrs 22 mins worth). I think BOW is the empty weight (I only use ZFW) and the other obviously is the payload - I guess adding the two gives you the ZFW.> EXTRA 000000 00.00 ------No extra fuel> TAXI 000363363 kg for Taxi time (I think it's 10 mins worth).> TTL AT BO 065059 12.32 ------ DIST 4808So the total to fill is 65059 kg (12 hrs 32 misn worth) and the distance is 4808 nm.> EGLL BUZ3J BUZAD UT420 WELIN UA2 TNT UP6 MIMKU DCT 60N020W DCT> 63N030W DCT 64N040W DCT 64N050W DCT 63N060W DCT FEDDY N532E HML> J107 HEC YENNI1 KLAXThe filed route, DCT is DIRECT and not a waypoint.> EGLL/0340/IRLAV/0350No idea what this means. you get it...."EGLL/0340/IRLAV/0350No idea what this means. Perhaps some sort of clearance?"this is not clearance but the fl calaulated for this flight meaning you may be at fl340 after tod direct and after irlav fl 350...">SUMMARY 10.40 FL 30 B/O 058209 PL 029823 TOW 185519 CRZ M80>SUMMARY 10.51 FL 28 B/O 059110 PL 029823 TOW 185519 CRZ M80Not sure why there are 2 summaries ."why ???? it gives an interesting flying if during all flight i stay at fl300 ill need 58209 same for fl280 and 59110 so you ll need to dig into resv to do that as i do not recalculate for each fl....so you re right also i do not post all plan but only the summary but everybody using fms can type it...happy flyin' now study and exam is over...you can ask any flight but not before sunday night at lfpg timesee youphil
