Hi,If ATC clears you direct to a point where you intercept the LOC i.e an 8 mile final. How can you enter this into the FMC legs page?Cheers,Stephen AMD 1600XP @ 1800XP 1.50 (10.5 X 143)EPOX 8KHA+ VIA KT266A 1GB INFINEON PC2100 DDR (2x512)TNT2 32MB(to be upgarded soon)IBM 60GB ATA100 7,200RPMSB LIVE 512VWINDOWS XP PROGood judgment comes from experience, experience comes from bad judgement.

One way to do this would be to use the Localizer as a waypoint. You then have to use the reciprocal (+/- 180

Yep, thats the way!Or you can use the ILS for the opposite runway, eliminating the need to add the lenght of the runway. If the runway has no ILS then just use the VOR as make the distance as accurate as you can depending on where the VOR is located in relation to the runway.

I'd suggest you put the EHSI into ILS ROSE and fly the aircraft.Try putting the aircraft into HDG SEL mode or turn off the AP and fly it. You might be amazed how easy it is to handfly - and HDG SEL mode works great as well.Ian E.
