July 17, 200223 yr Hi can anyone please tell me if there is a solution to my problem. I am using Posky 767-300 Gmax with pic panel. When i attempt to use vnav to climb to my altitude say fL320 the aircraft eventually loses airspeed and stalls at around fL250. is this because of the aircraft config in the posky 767 Thanks
July 18, 200223 yr If you want the plane to fly like a real 767, you will need to use the PIC air and cfg files. They will also allow a more seemless interface between the panel and systems and the performance of the craft. The stalling you are encountering is a problem reported by many when using the POSKY air files.
July 18, 200223 yr "If you want the plane to fly like a real 767, you will need to use the PIC air and cfg files. "you should have said it If you want it to fly like the real 767 you need to use PIC FDE with the PIC panel. Because the PIC panel derates thrust just a tad with other airfiles. No big deal tho, fly with what ya please. I happen to like our FDE.http://www.avsim.com/posky/images/banners/gary_ban.gif Gary Hayes My Youtube No i'm not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
July 18, 200223 yr You are correct, sir! :-)Rereading my post I realize I kinda left some info out of it.So here goes again:If you are using the PIC panel, you must use the PIC air file (aka, FDE). Otherwise, it won't provide sufficient thrust and will fly like a 767 using Learjet engines (i.e., it will stall on you due to derated thrust).
July 18, 200223 yr lolnice, Yeah I was trying the 757 FDE the other day on a PIC panel. And it would not get fast enough. But I turned around and tried it on a freeware panel and it hitthe numbers perfectly...so I just bumped up the thrust ratio a bit not it hits th enumbers. I just counteracted the derated thrust.http://www.avsim.com/posky/images/banners/gary_ban.gif Gary Hayes My Youtube No i'm not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
