My recommendation is to avoid the GF4 MX boards. If you can find one, get a GF3 board instead. The GF4 MX boards are only an upgrade to the standard GF2 (not MX). Will the GF4 MX board be better than a GF2 MX? It depends on what you are doing with the computer. Some games may run/look a little better. However, they will look even better with a GF3 board. A full-blown GF4 board in FS2002 will not show much (if any) improvement beyond allowing you to run at a higher resolution and with more anti-aliasing. So if MSFS is your primary "game", get a GF3. You should be able to get them at reasonable prices. If you cannot afford it, save your money and don't get the GF4 MX board. Eventually, you'll have enough for the GF3.Granted, I'm still running a 32MB GF2 board and it is more than sufficient for my uses.

I'm using the GeForce 2 MX 400. It cost me $100 and I feel it money well spent. btw, I tried some of the latest drivers and decided that the 29.42 is best for my system...Sherman KaplanHighland Park IL

I agree with Ken.... Get a GeF/3 before thinking of getting a GeF/4 MX board, especially if cost is an issue (and with most of us, it is). I was faced with the same decision at the beginning of the year, and I chose a GeF/2 TI at the time over the GE4/MX. Now, the GE3's have fallen to the point where the GE2 was when I purchased it.-John
