Most Favored 757 AIR file to use with 767PIC

Featured Replies

I have started to fly the 757-236SF with 767PIC for my cargo flying, and wondered what the best AIR file out there is to use with 767PIC panel? I have tried MT's 757 air file, but I find that there is slightly too much thrust/lift. I seem to get about 5000fpm on every takeoff and shoot passed V2+25 regardless of the attitude I take.Any recommendations much appreciated. Thanks

Yeah...that

I downloaded "continental 757.zip" from the AVSIM file library, and found it to be the most accurate 757 air file available. I am fairly sure I have downloaded every 757 out there, and this one seems to be the best. The climb rates seem right on according to BBall's posts, and it is very nice to land (many 757s that I had downloaded bounced very easily on touchdown). I only made one modification to it--I had to decrease braking sensitivity (I used AIREd). After that, it seems perfect. There are only 2 bugs that I can find---there is some problem with the light switches (they randomly turn off, and will not turn back on until you reload the airplane when the engines are shut off). And the 2nd problem is with the ILS. Sometimes it will not show a G/S on the EHSI or EADI. But I strongly recommend this AIR file for all of you that wish to fly the 757 with the great 767 PIC product.Happy New Year everybody!-twilky

Just to let everybody know...I have fixed the issues with the AIR file (except for flap settings) and I now have a 757 that flies with realistic climb rates, and is a beauty to hand-fly. If I can get some copyright issues sorted out, I will post it on the AVSIM file library.-twilky

Twilky,Could you please update me once you've got this published. I would be one of those grateful users. Thanks!BrianKPHX

YES I would like to know also when you are done. Thanks

I would like to know also. My VA uses the 757 alot.

Hello-I am still finalizing some changes, and attempting to contact the original owner of the AIR file that I modified, but I will try to have it up sometime this week. I will post on the 767 PIC forum when it is up.-twilky

Add me to the list of awaitng users of your updated air file ;-)

And me please!

Hi guys,i would like to draw your attention to the new IFDG Gmax 757-200. A lot of time has been spend on the dynamics. They have been tested with and are working very well in combination with the 767PIC package. You can find several versions of the IFDG Gmax 752 in the avsim file library.Cheers,Robert

Hi Robert, one question. If I use your 757, do I have do something special or just take the dynamics as they are and put the PIC panel into the folder?Do I have to do a merge or something?ThanksMatthias

Robert,You have the IFDG 752's empty weight at 170000 with no loading. PIC767 will only accept a minimum 180000 ZFW.Are the correct V speeds being calculated?A very nice AC btw :)
