February 3, 200323 yr Hi guys!!I would like to know if you have the same pain as me...Some products like PSS744,PSSA320 and PIC767, when you started engines and would like to enjoy the visual model, after switched back to the cockpit, the cockpit sound is a bit different, sounds like the balance is changed, or became a bit odd, it just different with the one i heard before i switched to the spot view....In my experience, in PSS A320, i could eliminate the difference by press "P" or "alt" then come back to the flight, But in PSS744 and PIC767, once i switched to the spot wiew then come back to the cockpit, the cockpit sound would never back to original unless i shut down all engines and strating them again!! So its painful when i'm flying online and need to adjust SB or RW!!! Fortunately the default airceaft do not have any problem!!If you got the issue, can you share? Ofcourse i'll be a happy man if you got solution!!! All The Best~~~Tommy
February 3, 200323 yr I know exactly what you are talking about. When you go into spot view, you get sounds ....sort of in MONO.When you go back into the cockpit, the sounds are sitll in MONO. But if you hit ALT or you minimise and then maximise FS, the sounds are again in STEREO. This also seems to be worse in the PIC. I never had the problem before....but it cropped up a few months ago. I have done numerous re-formats since (for other problems) and its the same problem. The reason why its worse in the PIC is that if you hit ALT, then you get mostly the sound of the wind noise (i'm using the P&W sound addon by Pgeddes....but its the same problem with the default PIC sounds). However if you pause, then unpause, you get much louder, deeper sounds.......I have no idea which one is correct....so to keep my sanity, i just go with the quiet ones.My sound card is a SoundBlaster Live! Value....its showing its age, but the thing is that it worked perfectly before. I never posted anything here about this because I am getting an Audigy soon.....so I was waiting to see if the problem remained with the Audigy. Sorry I cannot offer a fix.......but at least you know that you are not the only one having the problem.Lagaz.
February 3, 200323 yr HelloI have exactly same problem, terrible sound - sounds very disordred. The problem occurs with both PIC767 and DF737.I have tried a lot of different settings, also in directx - but nothing helps. I have also tried 4 different soundscards, but with no luck...I think WinXP is the bad guy here ;)Anyone with a good idea to solve this.My system is WinXPSoundblaster Live ValueGeforece 2 MXAMD 1800+ CPU512 DDR 2700 RAMBest, Michael Olesen
February 3, 200323 yr Does pressing Q twice help?I've seen something where it sounds like I am getting extra wind/gear noise, but turning sound off with Q and then back on helped.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
February 4, 200323 yr Thank you guys!! so this is a common problem....i've tried some ways, but anyway seems don't work well in PIC767. BTW, i'll try Q to see if it helps~~All The BestTommy
