Crusie Altitude and Fuel burn

Featured Replies

I am using the PIC panel with an add-on aircraft (not a PIC 767). It seems I can only make it to FL250 before the plane begins to stall. So, I have to level off to increase speed. The plane is fully loaded with fuel too. Now, is it common for a plane to level off at a lower altitude, burn some fuel and then ascend to the cruise level?I can't believe that a fully loaded 767 cannot make it to FL350. Also, the panel indicates 105% of N1 on the engine gauges, but at full throttle, I can only get to 98%.

Rob ,Im assuming you read the manuals?

Yes, I have read the manuals. However, I am not completely sure what part you might be referring to.I'm trying to figure out if the PIC panel works with this add-on flight model.

1)Are you using poskey's model? what airfile?2)what climb mode are you using ,VNAV,FLCH,V/S?3)whats your weight4)whats the temp? ,5)Have you fully preflighted the FMC.6)what does VNAV cruise page tell you the optimal cruise altitude is.7)are you using the autothrottle to take off.Have you read the part about step climbs in the manual?
