February 9, 200323 yr When I move my PIC767 to certain airports (EWR is one), I have a FMC message that the RAT is unlocked. The overhead panel also shows that the RAT door is unlocked, and I can't lock it.Obviously I don't want to start engines and launch in this configuration. So please, can anyone explain why is this happening, and how do I prevent this?.
February 9, 200323 yr Well, I found out how to restow the turbine on page 78 of the manual. But that doesn't explain why it's happening. Help is still needed, please!

February 10, 200323 yr FYI,I'm not slewing, but simply selecting another airport in FS2k2. Does this apply as well? Also, does a pushback before engine start create the same type of problem at various airports?
February 10, 200323 yr Commercial Member Basically the RAT will deploy as soon as both engines are switched off and the plane is moved. I don't know what speed the limit is, or what the routine is for figuring out displacement, but I assume an airport change might trigger this aswell.
