Where is the transponder gauge, it's not in the zip file?

Featured Replies

I just downloaded the file, ilh_tcas_v2.zip from Avsim and the transponder gauge is not in there? I have the ILH_TCAS gauge but that is all that is in the file other than the cfg file, 2 gif files and the readme. Someone else reported seeing the transponder guage blanked out and mine is blanked out as well. Are there not supposed to be 2 gauge files in this zip? I have downloaded it twice and both times, it is not there. Can someone email the transponder gauge file to me please at [email protected] I really want to do a flight with it now and not have to wait. ThanksEDIT: On Avsim it says the file is 228kb, but when downloading the file is only 113kb?

1. Did you read the README.txt?2. Did you edit section Window04 of you panel.cfg? The two gauges are both in the ILH_TCAS.gau file. They are called ILH_TCAS!IVSI and ILH_TCAS!Transponder. You are not missing a thing.Lee Hetherington (KBED)

Lee my pedistal for some reason is Window 03. Could this be the problem? Have followed the instructions re the panel config as far as i can see to the letter but for no resolution of the problem. My download from avsim was also smaller than the pakage size expected.Any chance you could emali me another guage and i will replace the old one as the transponder just shows up grey and no detail.Cheers Tim Carter

The download page says it should be 228kB, but it is 113kB. That is because I emailed them an update without debugging info before they posted it. I'll try to have them fix the size on the download page.I just downloaded it and it worked fine.If you're really stuck, try the supplied panel.cfg.Lee Hetherington (KBED)

Eric can you email me how you fixed the problem.Cheers Tim Carter

Please try the panel.cfg included in the .zip file. I realize it will not include all your other customizations, but it will tell us if my gauges are working.Lee Hetherington (KBED)

Tim,Many of us have variations in the way windows are ordered in the panel.cfg file. In the portion of Lee's readme file that is pasted below, note that the pedistal section says Window04. Somewhere in the exchange of information while testing the gauge, an edit to that line got dropped off. The edit was read as follows:b. To install the transponder, under the pedestal (Window04) section, find and replace the line that readsIt may have been more helpful if it read:b. To install the transponder, under the pedestal section, usually (Window04),find and replace the line that reads gauge14=B767Wvsi, 556, 406, 136 with //gauge14=B767Wvsi, 556, 406, 136 gauge14=ILH_TCAS!IVSI, 545, 391, 158, 158,The only importaint part is the referrence to the "pedistal" section. It matters not which Window number it is in, just make the gauge change in that section. The download file size is no issue. The AVSIM zip is correct.
