I wonder what the Chief Pilot had to say about this?

What do you mean? That WAS the Chief Pilot

Oh yes...the infamous checkerboard approach at VHHH. The original VHHH is now closed. A new one was built some years ago (Don't know how many). I used to have the charts for this approach...not sure if I due now. You can still see the closed airport (the original VHHH) on FS2002, you kind of have to hunt for it as there are no NAV aids for it. But I am not sure if the checkerboard is there. If someone has or finds the plates for this, try and fly it. It is extremely tricky, hence the blotched approaches. As for the UPS A/C....no wonder my package was damaged ;)

Great...as I type I am downloading the scenery. I'd love to try this with actual scenery, even if it is FS2000 scenery. Thanks!!

Even though it's for FS2000 it works fine in FS2002.

The only drawback is a rather messed up night-lightning. I saw that Thomas Kwong was apparently redoing his Hong Kong sceneries, though I doubt we'll see them until FS9 has been put through its paces.Do yourself a favor, if you have a powerfull machine, and get yourself the updated autogen for Hong Kong city - it adds quite a number of landmark buildings, which makes for an interesting approach over Kowloon.
