August 15, 200322 yr Commercial Member Randy,The peanut gallery comment is totally uncalled for, you sanctimonious prat. I do have a feather in my cap, thanks for noticing. Ian has one too. His is a peacock feather. What's the matter Randy, is your horizon a little blurry? Have to come over here to the PIC forum and spread manure? So glad you can pop in to tell us all how well everything is over at the PMDG bug report forum. You know Randy, YOU used to actually contribute to this forum. You may not appreciate comments (and references to Monty Python) from the peanut gallery (as you call it).. but, you know what Randy, I don't appreciate your, "Best Wishes,Randy J. Smith", when you are offering anything BUT.Lighten up man. Unless you're getting paid by PMDG, what are you getting out of coming over here being so high and mighty? And you know what? Partly because of some of the crap that's been stirred up over here by the PMDG groupies, I WILL NOT be buying the PMDG 737.Course, I probably couldn't run it anyway with my puny system specs... not like your advertised system in your tagline. very Impressive Randy. Oh wait, reading through some of the threads over at BUG CENTRAL, it looks like I'm not alone... many systems are crawling trying to run the PMDG NG.Tag, you're it Randy.DS CVA3339 / UKD149System: Attlon 900 McW Hamster/Gerbilized Quantum Accessible 55Gig Iodized-Encrusted Four-poster with Mega-brill Farzenhuuven http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums

August 15, 200322 yr I am sorry that I come off like that, I never intended to come off that way. I have respect for many on this forum who have been around a long time but some who speak before thinking and make personal comments that eat at me. I know you get tired of the PMDG thing here and I have toned it down and have only responded when others brought it up. I don't think I should get flamed for wanting to be a part of a new project and my desire to see it work. This should be about our hobby and love of avaition, not about personalities, like I have said, if I have go too far I am sorry to you DS and other members here that deserve some mutual respect. August 15, 200322 yr Randy,I appoligise for all my comments..............Just one question. What do the two last letters in the line PDMG 737NG mean, NG that is?It wouldn't mean "No Good" would it?

August 15, 200322 yr Hey Randy,Saying those things about my characther is hitting below the belt, don't you think?I never said anything bad about you, only PMDG 737NG. It cannot compare to B767 PIC. I think the designers of that program have lost a lot of respect in the world of aircraft add on design. B767 PIC is still the best add on panel there is. PMDG 737NG, if I would have bought it, which I am glad I did not, would have ended up with all the other add on panels I've bought in the past. Back in their box, erased off of my HDD.The PDMG 737NG Team have a lot of work to do before they can start comparing themselves to B767 PIC.AFA "Realism on the horizon" I think adding the word "far" between the words "the" and "horizon" would be much more accurte!Ed
August 15, 200322 yr Crashing Pilot,If you decide to buy a boat in the near future don't buy an anchor, you already have one!
August 16, 200322 yr Hey whatever Ed, I'm sure you KNOW what a real 767 is like huh? Only a missinformed person would state that PIC is flawless or unbeatable. I have a LONG list of what others call *bugs* in the 737 but *not implemented* in PIC. Since you do not OWN the 737 you are speaking sideways. How one judges something he has never seen hands on for HIMSELF is beyond me. People show a lot about themselves by what they SAY and you have a nice list going of put downs whether towards a company which is made up of individuals LONG BEFORE I spoke up against your putdowns. Lucky you cannot spred your trash to the other forum where people monitor abuse towards others work-persons. I am done on this forum of free putdowns our us. [h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. August 16, 200322 yr Hi Tom,Lets get back to your problem after this thread was hi-jacked by the mud slingers :-roll Get hold of prime95, do a search on the Web, and run that on your system. Folks use it to stress a system and it helps to show up any weaknesses such as heat or maybe a memory module going down.If prime95 fails during its run try reducing your memory timings in the BIOS.It could also be a poor power supply which is failing after some time, again prime 95 will highlight this.If your system passes the prime test then we need to look at resources. I would suggest you consider adding another 256MB or RAM which will help run FS, RW, SB etc. I would think with only 256MB RAM you will be using your swap file a lot, is there enough space on your HD for a good size swap file?Make sure you don't have any spyware on your system which is trying to 'call home' while you are on line, get AdAware or SpyBot and let them check your system. If you use AOL to connect to the Net forget all the above and find another ISP :-)The suggestions above will not cost you, apart from adding more RAM, and I hope they are of help.Rgds
August 16, 200322 yr Randy,You're right, I don't own the product and after reading the many posts describing all it's problems I'm glad I don't.I think it's pretty smart to do some research into a product before shelling out your hard earned cash to buy it. Don't you?A fool and his money are soon parted!See, I'm not as dumb as I sound...................
August 16, 200322 yr >Crashing Pilot,>>If you decide to buy a boat in the near future don't buy an>anchor, you already have one!on the other hand, poor you WOULD have to buy an anchor...you are surely anchorless.glad i don't have to shed money for a useless anchor though ;-)regards
August 16, 200322 yr hi there,i'll do as you suggested mate, and download prime95.when i've got an idea about what might be the culprit,i'll come and tell...in a new, mudslinger free thread ;-)thanks for the suggestions, have a good weekend
