Still perplexed....

Last night I posted that I could not see any cockpit lighting in the planes when flying at night. Can someone help me out please so I get the best enjoyment out of FS2002.Are all planes equiped with cockpit lighting when flying at night. for example, my Lear Jet is absolutely dark. No cockpit or cabin lights, only flashing beacons on the wings and the landing lights when applied. Graphics settings are all up (GeForce 3) and toggling the L key does nothing but turn lights on and off but I never see cockpit lighting in spot or tower views. Is there a file that controls this and if so, is it possible to repair it using the installation CD's if in fact it has been corrupt? Thanks.Fever

I've had some cockpits where I've had to manually go in and click all the light switches--the "L" key alone just didn't work. But once I did that, I saved the situation as my default, and from that point on the "L" key always toggled the lights on and off. Did you try the test of letting FS2002 rebuild the FS2002.cfg? Can't remember if you did....

Backup your existing FS2002.cfg by renaming it FS2002.sav, then start FS2002... The .cfg file will rebuild at that point. If the problem isn't fixed, shutdown FS2002, delete the new FS2002.cfg, and rename fs2002.sav back to fs2002.cfg--that will restore any personalized settings you have. -John
