I wasn't upset??...just giving you the info I have learned from conversations with AC 767 pilots, a jump seat ride, and my pwn experiecnes/flights on the ACA 767's...the book may indeed give options for both, but the preferred practice IS Flap 5 T/o, Flap 25 landing UNLESS circustances dictate otherwise. I beleive it is mainly fuel savings this is done, better second phase climb out with Flap 5 as well...but that's just what the pilots tell me..Rob.

Great ACA material by the way...any chance there is more of it lurking around somewhere? :-) I only have the Fuel burn section of the ACA 767 manual at home...If something fell into my mailbox, I promise I would not reveal the source...and would be very [email protected] - I recall the Captain telling me at X-mas time that he could not recall the last time he used FLap 15 for takeoff...he also mentioned that a Flap 30 landing burns less fuel...there was another reason for Flap 25 landing being the preference for ACA which I will remember soon :-)Rob.

Hi guys.For what it

Ok Rob, sorry bout that remark.. I'll see if I could pack that AC material up. It's in a million small PDF's, as it's meant to be used with the training CD. Perhaps the entire CD ?Tero

A pal from the East Coast e-mailed an offer to me...looks like I will be able to get all the AOM for ACA very soon...but thank you Tero anyhow.I know a lot of airlines recommend Flap 15 / Flap 30 (AAL included vis a vis Mr Ernst), ACA seems to be one of the few exceptions...at least according to the real world operations I see.I wonder if Kevin from CYOW is still lurking the forum (ACA 767 driver)...Kevin?Cheers,Rob.

Tero,did you get my email.Cheers

Rob,I'm here but I'm not a 767 driver (drive other stuff but have access to ACA training material on the 767). And I second your thoughts on take-off (5) and landing (25) flaps settings used by ACA. It's an airline SOP preference. Many of my friends operate the 767 at ACA and they say the same.Kevin in CYOW

THANK YOU!See, I am not going nuts or making it up, heheCheers Kevin!Rob.

Thanks Tero, thats what I figured it was :)

No one was thinking you were...Tero
