Taking a Goose for a gander ... an alternative panel

Recommended Posts

In another post this morning, I noted how important it was to me to retain my library of FS98 and FS2000 gems as sometimes they become useful in FS2002.With no disrespect to Mike's panel whatsoever, some of you may enjoy this one, originally produced in 1999 by J.L. Stubbs for FS98. It could do with the throttle levers being remade as the necessary background is annoying (I've tried to blank it out, failed), but otherwise the panel works just fine in FS2002:http://www.swiremariners.com/goosepnl.jpgHere I'm circling Charlotte Amalie and St. Thomas before landing for a Corona or twelve ... thanks for the aquatic beastie, Mike!Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

How could that show any disrespect? Shoot, I'll use it myself. In fact I use replacement panels on almost all my own planes. I've said it before, a panel designer I'm not. I just try to put something in that works for the sake of the beginners and folks that want to simply download and fly it "out of the box".Mike Stone

Has a certain smell of leather and old wood to it, doesn't it? Not to mention, various engine oil and exhaust aromas from those old radials, no doubt. Hope you like it. It's rather pretty.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

Mark,I definetly got a whiff of the old leather but seem to have lost my scent tracking ability. Do you happen to remember where you got it?It's not in Avsim library. Any help is appreciated.JackD

For the panel, go to FlightSim.com's search engine.M.

When searching for this panel over 'there', I found many panels by Mr. Stubbs. Does anyone know whatever happened to him? His panels look great! A search found nothing by him for FS2002.
