Grumman Goose Panel

Recommended Posts

Guest

For anyone interested their is a great Grumman Goose panel by Steve Hess that he made for FU3. It is a great representation of the actual panel. Maybe he would be willing to donate hos BMP files for use as a panel template for adding FS2002 gauges. Unfortunately I no longer have FS3 or the RESViewer utility installed but I'm sure if someone would e-mail Steve he would contribute his BMP files. His E-mail address is stevehess@netzero.net and the file was, I believe, gooseshc.zip

That's easily done, Red Dog, in a separate window (you wouldn't want it messing up that nice facia now, would you?). Put this in your panel.cfg file:Under (WINDOW TITLES) (they're square brackets in the panel.cfg)Window04=GPSAnd lower down, under your Window03 entry (and after its seven gauges) put this:(Window04) (square brackets again)size_mm=150,250position=8BACKGROUND_COLOR=16,16,16VISIBLE=0ident=GPS_PANELgauge00=gps!gps,0,0,150,250That'll give you the FS2K2 GPS bottom right (when you call it up using SHIFT/5). You can drag it where you want or resize it when it's open.If I'm teaching grandmother here, and you were looking for something more complex with simicons etc., well then that's a quick rewrite of the panel.cfg, obviously. But is this all you're looking for?Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

Back up the AIRCRAFT.CFG as AIRCRAFT.CFGBK, or whatever. Then insert this into AIRCRAFT.CFG, in place of Mike's RADIO section:(Radios) (in square brackets)// Radio Type=availiable, standby frequency, has glide slopeAudio.1=1Com.1=1,Com.2=1,Nav.1=1,Nav.2=1,Adf.1=1Transponder.1=1Marker.1=1Let us know if that solves your problem.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

How can I change the radio section for two different panel configurations? My other Goose panels have different radio setups than the this old style panel. They have backup radios available. Is it possible in the aircraft.cfg to have two different radio setups. If so how? Thanks, Bob.
