Trying to get back into VATSIM. Last couple of nights planned on getting online. Get stuck after I connect, when it only gives me the UNICOM frequency, even though it shows that their are controllers active in the area. I am trying to fly out of SFO, and there are usually OAK or SFO controllers at night, and it shows so when I check who is online. I am using FS2002 on an XP system, with Squawkbox 2.3.0.5, and with registered FSUIPC 3.201. I bet its only a little thing, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.Herb

Are you using the latest AVC software? The beta was extended, requiring another download recently.Chuck CYXU

Hi Chuck:Thanks for the reply. I feel pretty stupid having to ask you this, but could you please tell me what AVC stands for.Herb

Looks like you meant the Advanced Voice Client. Is this necessary in order to fly VATSIM? Used RW in the past, and it worked fine. Could the missing controllers in the ACT Directory have something to do with me not using AVC? Thanks.Herb

Hi. I'm having the same problem. Could it be that I'm not using the registered FSUIPC and no AVC?Thanks.
