Small problem with AVC used with SBV2.3. Setup has been working well for several months, but now when selecting ATC Directory, all I see is Unicom. Seems AVC and/or SB uses rw.avsim.net/Unicom as default server to log onto. I can disconnect from AVC and reconnect directly to a given controller position listed, but have to do this every time I switch controllers. Anybody have any ideas?

Another, more real problem with this is that I can't contact a text-only controller. Also, tuning the Comm radio to the controller's frequency doesn't work, either.

If your FSUIPC.DLL installed in Modules folder ?If not purchased, is SB2.3 registered for freeware use in FSUIPC ?Kyprianos Biris :-cool[link:avsim.com/greece/hvacc]Hellenic vACChttp://vateud.org/images/vatsim-eurs.gifhttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg

As I mentioned above, SB has been working well in the past, just started this problem. Only thing I have done is install Howard500 aircraft, which seemed to conflict with some software and textures I had, so I removed it. Still have problem.I can try to check the SB/FSUICP registration. Please refresh my mind on how this is done.

I have checked and found an FSUI.dll in the folder. Is this supposed to be FSUIPC.dll?

No, I found out the hard way that FSUI.dll is another dll that FS9 needs to load other dlls. Renamed it FSUIPC.dll and got errors that a lot of dlls would not load. Got it back from FS9 discs and everything OK.Meanwhile, back to original problem. FSUIPC.dll was NOT in Modules folder, but it had been before. So I downloaded latest FSUIPC.dll from AVSIM, and will see if it works.

Works now. Thanks VERY MUCH for your suggestion. Something removed FSUIPC from my Modules folder (Howard500 self-installer?

Self installers is something I never liked. With self installers I always declare my FS directory as another one (temp) then manually copy the files to their destination and then uninstall them from the temp. location with the installer procedure.I avoid problems just like the one you faced ;-)You knwo which file goes where and what you may ovewrite by installing. To uninstall (when I rarelly decide to), I do the same once again and just look for the files I have to delete manually.
