Why are you reformatting ? You will lose everything !!!!!!!!!Why not reinstall?Anyhow, you cannot do this from your operating system and if you have not done this before I suggest that you get someone to show you.It involves creating a Boot disk, rebooting your PC with the Disc in your 'A' drive and Formatting your drive using a 'DOS'command:Format C: /uYou will then need to reboot your machine after the Format is complete and install your operating system. If that confuses you then DON'T DO IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ehhh.... Yes, that is confusing... The rest of us boot of our XP install CD. :)When it ask you what partition you want to install on, you can delete and create partitions as you want. The partition you select to install XP on can then be formattet with NTFS (smart choice) or FAT (for those who think it's cool to live in the 80's).But theire are plenty of newsgroup available on the matter, so why are we actually discussing this in here?/Lars

When I re-format, I use the Windows XP Repair Utility (just insert your XP CD, restart, and click any key to boot from the CD.) Once in the utility, press "R" to enter the Repair Utlitly and then type 'format c' (without the quotes.) Once your computer is finished formatting, reboot, and run from the CD again. Just follow the install wizard and you're done.Ryan-Flightpro08 :-coolVATSIM Pilot/ControllerZLA ARTCC Controller 1 (C-1)SAN TRACON Lead [link:www.taxiwaysigns.com]Taxiwaysigns.com Scenery Designer-----------------------------My "Home Made" System Specs:Intel Pentium 4 2.2GHz ProcessorTurbo Gamer ATX Mid-Tower with 420W Power SupplyEPoX 4G4A Motherboard with Intel 845G ChipsetVisiontek XTASY GeForce4 128MB Ti4600 (Det 29.80 WHQL Drivers)512MB PC2100 DDR RAM40GB Matrox 7200RPM Hard DriveWindows XP Home Edition*No CPU or GPU Overclocking*3dMark2001SE Score: 10346
