Christmas is just behind the corner and, as usual, historical towns aregetting ready to receive milions of tourists.Rome, the Eternal City, is surely one of the most popular and crowded, among all...VACC-Italy staff has so decided to host this rare chance to let you visitthe city in one of the last days of relative quietness, allowing you tospend a romantic, peaceful and unforgettable night off.In order to grant you this, on Friday the 19th of December 2003, between20:00 and 22:30 UTC (21:00 - 23:30 local) you'll get the best ATCcoverage in the two main airports:Rome Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" (LIRF), the biggest intercontinentalairport of the nation, able to handle lots of movements per hour.Rome Ciampino "Giovan Battista Pastine" (LIRA), the second airport of Rome, provided with an intense civil activity (low-cost companies, mailing, charters, executives) as well as national representation. There's no booking required for this event, so you'll be able to getonboard of your favourite aircraft, take the route of your choice and useyour favourite callsign!Best regards,On behalf of VACC-Italy staff.www.vatita.net

Hi all,For those seeking a controlled departure airport, I just read in the VACC-FRANCE forum that LFPG and LFMN positions will be manned for this occasion. Don't hesitate to prepare your flight plans departing from these locations.Eric.
