Sinking

Hi,I joined VATSIM just two days ago and installed squawkbox and HostSB; I had FSUIPC 2.975 so I thought -maybe I was wrong- it unecessary. After reading a few tutorial decided to try a listening session. After configuring a fs2002 multiplayer session I created and started a flight, but -great surprise- after a few seconds the plane started to sink in the ground and crashed!!! Something like it was with the gear retracted. Interesting is the fact that I closed FS and created a new flight -not in multiplayer mode- and the plane was sinking again. Today I tried to download and install FSUIPC 3.14 and the plane crashed just after registering it for squawbox. So I uninstalled any FSUIPC and the problem continue. What can I do?Thank you.

FSUIPC cannot cause that to happen to your aircraft, as you have proved, nor can SB cause that to happen.First of all turn off crash detection in FS2002 and see if the same plane, at the same airport, still sinks. If it does try another airport/plane.While doing the above go to spot view and see if you can see if the gear is down, if it isn't then you need to find out why.You don't say what plane or what airport you were using but some combinations could cause this.If you have no luck with the above I suggest you try with a default FS2002 plane at a default airport.Best of luck.

There's one Addon Auckland airport where the ground acted like water. There was a patch for it, but it was hard to find. There may be other airports where this issue happens also. Finally, turn it to day time for your first few flights on vatsim too at least. Flying in the dark is just that little harder.
